Soul Phone Update May 2022

Dear SoulPhone family,

 

Progress on both the software and hardware sides of the SoulSwitch continues slowly but steadily.  We are heartened by these steps.  Dr. Schwartz says we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we’re not through the tunnel yet.

 

Patents are being pursued to protect the IP (intellectual property) and rights of both earthly and postmaterial inventors.  All of this takes time and funds but it’s a joyful journey that has the potential for greatly helping many people and our planet.  So we continue to work as diligently as we can.

 

Here are answers to two recent questions I received . . .

 

Q#1: Why is it called ‘the SoulPhone’ if the first device only provides Yes / No answers?

 

A#1: The term SoulPhone is an umbrella term for four anticipated devices:

 

1. SoulSwitch™ is needed for #2.

 

   2. SoulKeyboard™ should allow texting and typing with PMPs.  Design and development of this device can begin after a sufficiently accurate and near real-time SoulSwitch is available.
   3. SoulVoice™ is envisioned to allow talking to and hearing PMPs.  The goal is to achieve sufficient audio fidelity so continuous speech can be detected and understood.

 

   4. SoulVideo™ will hopefully enable seeing PMPs.  This visual imaging system may eventually become a 3-D holographic version.

Q#2: When can people purchase these devices? 

 

A#2: Based on progress to date, eventual use of these devices is likely but not a certainty.  The SoulSwitch is still in the research and development (R & D) state.  A PMP response time with the switch of ten seconds or less is needed to start SoulKeyboard R & D.  If and when the keyboard is ready, that technology will initially be available only as a service.

The current thinking is that SoulPhone Call Centers^TM will be established for texting sessions with PMP loved ones.  That level of technology will also allow us to communicate with postmaterial luminaries – inventors, health care experts, optimal leaders, etc. – who want to help us and our world.

Proceeding this way will allow the SoulPhone Project team to ensure security and satisfaction for consumers and the technology.  This ‘service versus product first’ approach will allow improvements to be made after early SoulKeyboard sessions.  When conditions are optimal, commercialization of actual devices and / or apps will allow widespread use of the technology.  Downloadable apps are envisioned for a monthly fee on ‘Smart’ devices.
